Worst August ever for surf on the south shore.  Nothing to do but strip old wax, re-wax and be ready.  Dawn patrolling couple days a week to no avail........

No waves prompts a rare occasion, fishing from shore on Oahu.  Beautiful morning in Kaaawa with light winds and a quick rising tide.  Perfect morning to hang with Kaui.

Summary: surf drought.
Detailed: mid Friday on southern shores has about as low of conditions as it can possibly get during the month of August. Similar conditions are expected for Saturday.


Surf drought...baaahhh.
Passed on the waves this morning and went running instead.  Stopped by D.H. later in the morning.  Nice day but not much swell and a little bumpy.  Need a new swell badly.  Everybody's wave starved.
