1000 pts

The Dow down 1000pts, is that for real?  Heard this was coming but hoping it wasn't.  Could get worse, hang on. 
Cruised Ala Moana a bit yesterday afternoon then had dinner at Yohei, some nigiri, some soba and some tempura.  Broiled hamachi and ahi tataki teishoku for Saiko.  Oishii. 
Met carpenter this morning to show him the work I need done, hope it's not too expensive.

Where's the swell?

Little disappointed with the surf this morning, smaller than expected - not even 3'.  A little wind side chop also but still fun and not crowded.  Saw Wade M. for the first time in awhile, surfing a new 5'0" Tokoro SF-2.  Nice day and nice to have the trades back.  Days are getting longer, paddled out at 5:20.  Box jellys are coming so no surfing for the next few days.

Glassy

Glassy morning at the park today.  Looked a little crumbly and on-shore when I first got there but turned out to be perfect conditions with a very light crowd.  Where was everyone? 

The whole mauka side parking was empty.  If only there were more waves.

Vog

Voggy Sunday, couldn't even see across the Bay.  Decided to finally sleep in for once.  Passed on Mokes and turns out it was pretty small so didn't miss much.  Jon said Chun's looked fun but had over 50 guys by 7:00.
Lunch at Yoshitsune in the Waikiki Park Shore, a place for the nationals.  Not bad at all, good ice cream.  Trippy weather, rain, fog, vog, hot, muggy, cool.  Saiko cooked nabe for dinner, oishii but wrong choice for the weather.....sweat!

Muggy

Pretty miserable muggy weather today and this evening.  Conditions finally looking epic for Mokes, it's been a long time coming.  Now need the NW swell to come in.

Went to Diamond Head early this am.  Took a quick jog down to Kahala and back then surfed Cliffs with Jon.  Nice conditions and not too crowded but not enough waves.  At least the water and sun felt good.  After surfing, went to the showers and water didn't come out.  WTF?  Hope the city is paying their water bill.  Thank goodness for all the water jugs in the car, even bailed out the girl parked near me.
Lunch at Sushi King then to a few florists thinking ahead to mother's day.  Saiko wants to try doing her own arrangement for Mom next week, should be fun but I'm thinking just leave it to the pros.
